ABOUT KEILAH JOHNSON

Founder and CEO of Truth in Chaos Inc.

ONE OF HER PASSIONS...

One of Keilah's passions in life is to empower youth to make wiser decisions that are less influenced by negative media and society.

Following that message, she produced two videos with similar messages.  One is below...

The following video was casted, written, directed, produced and edited  by Keilah herself.

Keilah Johnson was born in November of 1989 and grew up in Lithonia, Georgia - a suburban city about 25 minutes outside of Atlanta. She is the youngest of five children and the daughter of two amazing parents who's marriage continues to thrive. After following in her older siblings footsteps, Keilah  established the goal to be different at quite a young age; not in rebellion, but rather individuality.

She continued to carry her quirky and different independence on to middle and high school where she avoided being in the shadows of others and always remembered the humble and courteous ways she was raised, despite what her peers did. In her senior year of high school, she discovered that fashion was an expression of individuality and began to define her style and dress in an outfit that would match her mood for that specific day.

Upon graduating from Chamblee High School in 2008 with lifelong friends she had attended school with since 4th grade, Keilah was very strategic in her college application process. Wanting to define her own college route, out of the shadows of her successful older sisters and brother, she applied to universities all around the country. However, due to a lack of funding, Keilah ended up at Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia. Although the environment was quite different than what she was used to - due to the lack of city features and culture - she got involved immediately in her freshmen year.

WIthin the first two months, Keilah had been accepted into an elite organization, The Student Ambassador Team, started her own radio show, accumulated over 30 service hours and became a member of the Black Student Alliance.

Her strive continued throughout her college career as she,

- continued as a Student Ambassador until her senior year,

- was recruited as a Career Peer Advisor for two years,

served as the Secretary, Vice President and President for the Black Student Alliance where she increased events by over 60%,

- became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated,

- was selected as an On-Air Reporter for the campus television station- GCTV,

- lived in New York for two consecutive summers for an internship with WNYC New York Public Radio and Showtime Networks,

- was accepted in the T. Howard Foundation and Network,

- became a News Intern for Fox 24/ABC 16 in Macon, Georgia,

- created an after school program for high school girls and much more!

Keilah received two job offers prior to graduating in May 2012  earning a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies, comprised of four disciplines: Broadcast Journalism, Digital Media, Public Speaking and Sociology.

Directly out of college, she began working as a Producer, On-Air Talent and Account Executive for Write2Market, a public relations agency in Atlanta, Georgia.

During her time there, Keilah produced over 40 videos for businesses and executives, handled all production and several media efforts including website creation and management, script writing, creative direction, proposal, executive on-air coaching, interviewing, camera operating, editing and delivering. She was added to over 8 accounts during her time there and organized two workshops for CMO's and CEO's around Atlanta.

Keilah resigned from Write2Market PR in January 2013 to explore more opportunities in hosting and interviewing in the Entertainment and Fashion industry.

Keilah is always eager to improve and learn new skills, please feel free to contact her!
